What to expect at CrawFête

Crawfête is a boiled crawfish and gourmet crawfish dish showcase and competition, “Best Boiled Crawfish” and “Best Crawfish Dish” will be judged by the community and celebrity judges. Attendees will enjoy expertly boiled crawfish and gourmet crawfish-inspired dishes from a lineup of incredible local favorite restaurant and boilers plus sip cocktails, mocktails and local beer distilleries. This year’s Crawfête promises a festive atmosphere filled with live music, community spirit, and the best crawfish in town!

The afternoon

NewLocation: Wander beneath majestic Live OAk at Cedar Lodge, where stunning Arabian horses call home in the middle of Baton Rouge. Spend a spring Sunday strolling fromcrawfish boiler to boiler, sipping cocktails, and tasting crawfish-inspired dishes—this is Crawfête. This year, we’re excited to offer a children’s ticket for $25 (ages 5–12), so skip the babysitter and bring the kids along to enjoy the music, crawfish, and festive atmosphere together.

Looking for an adults-only escape? Our VIP ticket delivers an open bar, premium seating near the music, and a few extra perks just for you. From flowing crawfish and poured drinks to nonstop fun, Crawfête has something for everyone—no matter your ticket.

The food & drinks

Crawfish prepared by the best in the business, using fresh ingredients sourced from local suppliers who believe in this cause as much as we do. Enjoy signature boils and crawfish-inspired restaurant dishes available for tasting—plus all-you-can-eat crawfish from our house boiler, just incase you need a little more tail.

Your ticket includes water and soft drinks, creative mocktails and cocktails, and beers on tap. Enjoy selections from local distilleries featuring everything from hop-forward spirits to smooth Louisiana sugar cane rums

The purpose

The boilers are after bragging rights. The restaurants want the awards. You decide who takes home the titles for Best Boiler and Best Dish—and we’ll gladly crown the winners.

But the real reason we gather is the cause: children’s nutrition and food insecurity.When you attend, you’re not just eating well—you’re doing good.

Who attends Crawfête?

Crawfête attracts a highly engaged crowd of approximately 600 guests, including food lovers, community leaders, and supporters of local causes.

Crawfête is a spring crawfish tasting and competition hosted by the Baton Rouge Epicurean Society, bringing together top crawfish boilers, restaurants, and beverage partners to benefit childhood nutrition and food insecurity initiatives.

Is electricity available?

Electricity is extremely limited. Please notify us immediately of any electrical needs so we can place you accordingly.

What does Crawfête provide to food vendors?
  • One 8-foot table (no chairs)
  • Guest serving ware (plates/bowls, forks/spoons)
  • Crawfish boats (2 lb nacho boats) for your 4 sacks
  • Option to compete or participate without competing
  • 4 staff wristbands (additional staff must purchase tickets)

What beverages are allowed?

Beer, spirits, cocktails, seltzers, wines, soft drinks and mocktails are all welcome.

What is expected of beverage vendors?
  • Provide enough product for tastings , we are expecting over 600 guests
  • Supply your own serving cups
  • Ice can be provided by the event
Awards & Competition
Are prizes cash-based?

No. This is not a cash prize event. Winners receive on-stage recognition, website and social media features, and inclusion in the official press release.

Community Vendors & Sponsors
Are sponsorships available?

Yes. To learn more about sponsorship opportunities, please email the Executive Director.

Is there a fee for Community Vendors?

Yes. The Community Vendor entry fee is $250. No vendor is allowed to sell anything on-site. Please email the Executive Director for more information to become a Community Vendor.

Who qualifies as a Community Vendor?

Non–food and beverage vendors wishing to distribute information, marketing materials, or promotional items.

When do applications close?

Applications will close once all available vendor spaces are filled. Early submission is encouraged.
