This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you visit epicbr.org (the “Site”).
The Baton Rouge Epicurean Society (The Society) places a high priority on protecting your privacy. This privacy policy was created in order to demonstrate the Society’s firm commitment to the privacy of our members and website users. This policy explains what types of information is collected by the Baton Rouge Epicurean Society's website, www.epicbr.org, and how this information is used.

Subject to certain exceptions set out below, on receipt of a verifiable request from you, we will:
1. Delete your personal information from our records; and
2. Direct any service providers to delete your personal information from their records.

9. Otherwise, use your personal information internally in a lawful manner that is compatible with the context in which you provided the information.

Individuals that purchase tickets or sign up to receive Epicurean Society e-news voluntarily provide us with contact information (such as name and e-mail address). We may use this information for specific, limited purposes.You may always "opt out," either now or at any time in the future, if you do not wish to receive our messages.

IP ADDRESSES
The Epicurean Society uses your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server, to administer www.epicbr.org, and for statistical metrics used to track website visitor traffic.

HOW DO WE USE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION?
We use your personal information to provide you with personalized service; to send e-mail alerts to you; to answer your requests; to process
your tickets; etc. You may choose to opt out at any time, which will cease all communications from us. We may also use your information to track visitors of our website.

SHARING YOUR PERSONAL DATA
The Baton Rouge Epicurean Society does not sell email addresses or personal information to anyone outside the organization.

GOOGLE LLC
We use Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, Google Website Optimizer, and Google Fonts.
• Google Tag Manager is a tag management service and we use it to manage the tags or scripts needed on the Site in a centralized fashion. This results in the Users' Data flowing through these services, potentially resulting in the retention of this Data.
• Google Analytics is a web analysis service and we use it to help us understand how visitors use the Site. Google utilizes the Data collected to track and examine the use of the Site, to prepare reports on its activities and share them with other Google services.

META PLATFORMS, INC
We use Meta Pixel and Meta Custom Audience.
• Meta Pixel allows user behavior to be tracked after they have been redirected to the provider’s website by clicking on a Meta ad on
Facebook, Instagram, and other Meta platforms. This allows us to measure the effectiveness of ads for statistical and market research purposes. The data collected in this way is anonymous to us, i.e. we do not see the Personal Data of individual users.
• Meta Custom Audience is a tool that allows us to personalize our ads based on your Personal Information available through Meta platforms. We may display interest-based ads to you when you are using Facebook with this tool. You can opt-out of Meta Custom

• Meta processes the data for Pixel and Custom Audience. HOTJAR LTD.
We use Hotjar in order to better understand our users’ needs and to optimize this service and experience. Hotjar is a technology service that helps us better understand our users experience (e.g. how much time they spend on which pages, which links they choose to click, what users
do and don’t like, etc.) and this enables us to build and maintain our service with user feedback. Hotjar uses cookies and other technologies to collect data on our users’ behavior and their devices (in particular device's IP address (captured and stored only in anonymized form), device screen size, device type (unique device identifiers), browser information, geographic location (country only), preferred language used to display our website). Hotjar stores this information in a pseudonymized user profile.
