The Baton Rouge Epicurean Society’s mission is to enrich the culinary culture for the Capital Area Community while raising funds for childhood nutrition and health initiatives, educational programs and scholarships.

It is a 501(c)3 and membership includes culinary professionals in the capital area including chefs, restaurateurs, caterers, food suppliers and wine and spirit purveyors.

BATON ROUGE, La. — February 2, 2026 — The Baton Rouge Epicurean Society (BRES) presented 7 local nonprofit children's charities with more than $120,000 in donations Monday, made possible through funds raised from its 2025 culinary fundraising events and the generous support of community sponsors.‍The donations represent the culmination of BRES’s 2025 “culinary for a cause” events, including Crawfête, Fête Rouge, and the annual Awards Dinner.

Fete Rouge

Fête Rouge 2026, Baton Rouge’s premier food and wine festival, takes place on Thursday, August 27, 2026 . Hosted by the Baton Rouge Epicurean Society, the event will be held at L'Auberge Casino & Hotel Baton Rouge and features over 30 top regional chefs battling for "Best Dish" alongside 250+ global wines .
